An Invitation to Reflect The Qur’an calls us again and again to look around us, to reflect, and to see the signs of our Creator. Allah says: “The work of Allah, who perfected all things.” [Sūrat al-Naml: 88] And He says: “And on the earth are signs for those of sure faith.” [Sūrat al-Dhāriyāt: 20] And He says: “Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, are signs for those of understanding.” [Sūrat Āl ʿImrān: 190] These verses direct our hearts to a simple but powerful truth: the precision and perfection of the universe testify to the wisdom and power of the One who created it. Look to the skies. Planets glide through their orbits in perfect harmony. The sun rises and sets with unfailing consistency, giving warmth and life to the earth. The moon reflects its light, guiding travelers in the night and regulating the ocean’s tides. Rain falls in cycles—evaporating, condensing, and returning to revive the soil and bring forth life. Every detail speaks of balance. Now look to nature. Birds soar with wings designed for flight. Fish swim in the depths of the ocean, some equipped with lights to survive in complete darkness. The earth overflows with creatures, each uniquely crafted to thrive in its own environment. None of this is random; it is precision woven into every form of life. And then reflect on yourself.
